June Affairs

Today is the start of July and the end of my first love. But you know what? Goodbye luminizing black mask and hello Monthly Shopping!

Because its summer, I have more time to go to the mall and pick out items as well as develop a shopping list. During the school year, my only concern is school, work, art and food. It doesn't leave me too much time to explore my love options. Therefore, the heat of summer opens new doors.

Cathy Jeans-- Glitter Gold Flats
First off, shoes have been a huge deal in my life. I saw a pair of gold high heels at the mall, but as a university student, I didn't know how I would manage walking in 5-inch high heels across campus. I that's gotta be crazy. Luckily I found these gold glitter flats for $17.99 at Cathy Jeans.  What a sale from about $27, if I remember correctly. However I had to go to THREE stores just to find my size because I have large feet.

Women Vans
Next up are these Vans Camryn in a Heather/Gray Gum. These weren't exactly on my shopping list but I found these babies went I tagged along to the Topanga mall with my brother. He was actually shopping for his son and I saw these shoes on the rack. I checked the price online and it was $60 so it was a no-go for me. Then a few days later, I went back to the small and store to try on the shoe, hoping it would look bad so I could move on, only to find a tiny red and white sale tag on it! $39 I think yes! First off, I didn't have any "nice" sneaker to wear out when I'm not on campus. So I thought these were very suitable. I love love love the pattern and texture on the shoes as well as its slight high top composition. Also I think that the metal hooks had a little shabam to it!

Next up on the list is...

a three-row spiked bracelet.

This baby is made to look stylish and as well provide protection! A two in one deal for only, wait for it, $3.99. Yep that's right! It as at a local jewelry shop in my second hometown. I can't stop wearing this, but I have to or else it just looks like I'm repeating my outfits. ahahah.
Moving on, I finally bought sunglasses! Though I couldn't find the circle ones I wanted I really like these. They kind of wing out a little at the end so it really reminds me a Disney villain, something along those lines. By the way, I love Ursula, best villain of all times. The exact name of this is F6783 Retro Round Sunglasses in case you were wondering. Its from Forever21, and its really hard for me to actually buy something from that store. However, I got these in a heart beat. The first one I tried and I never let go.

Sorry, I'm still going on, but the month shopping list isn't over yet!

Here I got the Seaweed Waterproof Mascara from Skinfood. The mascara is I think $9 or $11. Hmm it is a korean brand and the store recently opened up in our local mall so I was very excited when I saw it. I haven't tested this yet, but will soon!

I'm also very intrigued by the product since it says its made from the actual natural ingredients such as seaweed and honey.

Underneath here is the Tea Tree Cleansing Foam I bought, also from Skinfood. Its about $17 and the Tea Tree is suppose to help with acne scars, breakouts and nourish the skin back to health, so I'm hoping this will work and help undo some of my middle school skin mistakes.

And then last, is the DIY Fringe skirt from Pacsun. I really wanted a short layered fringe skirt at first but it didn't suit me in reality. In my mind I imagined it a lot differently. Anyways I don't have a picture of it right now, but I'll update as soon as I take photos in it!

June, you are done baby!

  1. I used the SkinFood Seaweed Mascara today and all I have to say is I love it! Definitely worth every penny. The mascara doesn't run and doesn't clump. Really brings out the lashes without overpowering the face or making it look thick. WIN!
